John Treflé

John Louis Treflé (4 December 1865 – 11 January 1915) was an Australian politician.
He was born at Penshurst near Hamilton in Victoria to French Canadian farmer John Louis Treflé and Mary McKenzie. The family moved to New South Wales around 1876, and Treflé worked on his father's farm at Temora, eventually becoming managing editor of the ''Temora Independent''. He was active in the local Farmers and Settlers Association and the land boards. In 1906 he was elected to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly as the Labor member for Castlereagh. He was an honorary minister from 1910 to 1911, when he became Minister for Agriculture. He held that position until 1914. Treflé died in Sydney in 1915.
